The vision of Kuwait University is to develop human resources and to lead society has prompted its leadership to strive to transfer technology through the initiation of the College of Engineering and Petroleum in September 1975. The College began with three Departments: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering; a year later the Department of Chemical Engineering was added.
