Anwar Al-Bisher & Partners was established in 1980 in the State of Kuwait. While serving as the head of the Legal Department for a major Kuwaiti Bank, Anwar Al-Bisher spent one year interning with the US law firm of Baker & McKenzie. Desiring to follow the example of western law firms, although on a smaller scale commensurate with the size of the market in Kuwait, Anwar Al-Bisher dedicated the firms practice to corporate, commercial and business matters, which has resulted in growing the firm’s cumulative experience into a specialization that is unique in the Gulf region.
